GreenEdge Ammonia Pty Ltd is an Australian company focused on producing green ammonia on a commercial scale in line with Australia’s and the World’s transition to zero - carbon. Australia has a new target to reduce its GHG emissions by 43% from 2005 levels (up from its earlier 28% reduction target). This reflects the necessary urgency of the transition to net zero emissions & brings Australia into line with the GHG reduction targets adopted by its major trading partners in East Asia.
Our team is supported by a network of some of the Green Ammonia sector’s most innovative & proven operators. GreenEdge aims to build a cost competitive, world class green ammonia project for export from Western Australia

The West Australian Government has advocated for the growth of renewables through its Renewable Hydrogen Strategy, announcing hydrogen hubs for the prime wind and solar energy areas.
The Pilbara Hydrogen Hub plan involves the development of a hydrogen or green ammonia pipeline to connect strategic industrial areas, the creation of a Clean Energy Training and Research Institute, and port upgrades to facilitate export opportunities. This reinforces the State Government’s support of developments as proposed by GreenEdge.
The Mid-West region is less mature in the WA Government’s planning process for industrial land and renewables, but the region is untapped and prime for projects such as GreenEdge’s ammonia initiative. Other prospective developers also have active studies for the Mid-West region, as modelling has shown that this region is superior to the Pilbara for wind energy, less expensive to build and operate there, and far less prone to cyclones.
The Australian Government’s Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) provides development finance via low interest loans for infrastructure projects in Western Australia above the Tropic of Capricorn and including areas of Gladstone, Mid-West, Exmouth, Meekatharra, and Wiluna. GreenEdge has an opportunity to potentially utilise NAIF funding for its green ammonia plant.
